Bio: My name is Kim Anh Pham and I am currently a sophomore. I lived in California for 12 years before moving to Texas. My main goal for the 2008-2009 school year is to get everyone active. It is important to commit to volunteering since you are pursuing a career that requires interaction. By being active in organizations, you can develop communication skills for the future and have the added bonus of meeting people. In my spare time, I love to collect pens. My notes are filled with colors and stick figures. I love making random facial expressions and see how everyone responds to it. I enjoy watching Asian dramas, though I have a hard time catching up with the latest ones because of school. Plus, I am a HUGE University of Houston fan. I love to show school spirit, I wear red almost everyday. I hope you will join me at the meetings, projects, and socials. I look forward to meeting you this school year. If you have any questions—whether it is about classes or PPA, don’t hesitate to ask. Lastly, if you see me rolling my backpack around school don’t forget to say hi as you walk by.

I was born and raised in southwest Houston and I can not ever imagine leaving this city! My goal as PPA vice president is to expose the club to the ‘variety of volunteering’. Volunteering is so much more than hours or a filler in a resume, it is a growing experience. I want to convert the mindset of volunteering: from “time spent” to “lives changed”, because as future pharmacists we will CHANGE LIVES. As you probably can tell, I am a passionate volunteer. I volunteer on my spare time, next to studying. If I am not volunteering, I am watching filipino dramas, eating more than I should, and spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy eating. Every once in a while, I join my friends and we show off our talent in food competitions. It is nasty, and noisy, but it is amazing! I cannot wait to see you in PPA this year! Being an pre-pharmacy student can be only as fun as you make it to be. Continue to study hard and have a positive attitude! You can do it! I grew up in Missouri City, TX and enjoy spending time with my family and my dog, KoKo. I am a people person, but I can appear quiet at first. Feel free to say hello, I am always up for a good chat! Hobbies that I enjoy include: traveling, lounging on Galveston’s beaches, and tennis. I really enjoy school and I feel that the University of Houston is providing me with the tools to help make my college experience fun and rewarding! I know that with the volunteer opportunities, review sessions, and UH events that you will definitely feel like part of a family. I want to welcome all the new and past Cougars as we make this year one we will never forget! (I am not just saying that because I am taking Organic Chemistry.) Go COOGS!

I was born and raised in Houston on the north side. My main goal for 08-09 school year is for every PPA member to have a fantastic and productive year social-wise and academic-wise. The College of Pharmacy Admissions Committe is looking for students that are well rounded. Having great social skills along with high grades are some things that can only benefit you. Aside from living in the library and studying, I love to live a healthy and active lifestyle. If I’m not in the library, I’m at the recreational center. I love playing and watching basketball. So if you’re ever at the recreation center and you spot me, be sure to ask me for a pickup game. I’m looking forward to this school year as I will be working with the other PPA officers to make this year a memorable one for all of us. I am an only child, and I am currently a sophomore at UH *woot*woot* I have a lot of school spirit, and I love meeting new people. Activities I enjoy a lot are dancing, singing, exercising and LIVING for Jesus! Jesus is the center of my life and is my Lord and Savior. Also, I love making other people laugh and in my spare time I like to learn different languages and cook. I am looking forward to meeting and getting to know all the members of PPA this year. I am from Dallas and have been a resident of Texas for about 5 years now. Becoming a pharmacist was my dream since I was a little girl. The underlying principle of this job is helping those who come to you. This motto is something that I have carried close to my heart for several years. I enjoy helping people and love spending my spare time d-oing volunteer projects or even just offering a helping hand to my friends and families. I also love watching TV and spending time with my family. I am very excited about this school year and everything PPA will do this year. I was born and raised in Nigeria. I came to the United States at the age of 12, and have lived in Sugar Land, TX since then. By being actively involved in PPA during my freshman year of college, my passion for the organization grew. I was born in Colorado Springs, CO, though I have been living in the Greater Houston Area for about 15-16 years now.
